Bert Fellows, MA

Bert Fellows, MA, is a Certified Clinical Psychologist who has been the Director of Psychological Services at Paducah Physical Therapy & Psychology since 1990.

Mr. Fellows earned his BS in Social Sciences at St. John’s University, Collegeville, Minnesota, in 1963, spent 2 years in the Peace Corps in Bolivia, SA, returned to attend Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he received his MA in Clinical Psychology in 1968.

After working in an Ohio Correctional facility, a state mental hospital, a community college, and two community mental health centers, he became interested in the psychological sequelae of chronic pain and since 1990, has devoted himself to working exclusively with chronic pain patients.

Mr. Fellows has also worked as the Coordinator for the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP) and as the Editor of the Pain Physician newsletter since their inception in November 1998, and as the Editor of the Pain Physician journal from its first issue in October 1999, until April 2002, and continues to serve in the capacity of Managing Editor. He has also authored or co-authored more than 30 articles, chapters and editorials in the areas of diagnosis and treatment in pain management. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, Kentucky Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology.

Mr. Fellows has co-edited a comprehensive text on low back pain entitled Interventional Pain Management: Low Back Pain - Diagnosis and Treatment.
