ABOUT OUR PROFESSIONALS

Dr. Malla is an interventional pain management physician practicing at the Pain Management Centers of Paducah, Kentucky and Marion, Illinois and the Ambulatory Surgery Center of Paducah, Kentucky and the Pain Care Surgery of Marion, Illinois encompassing multidisciplinary pain management programs.

He graduated from Calicut Medical College in Kerala, India. He completed his internship in Far Rockaway, New York at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Internal Medicine. Dr. Malla completed his residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi and completed his fellowship in Pain Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

In addition, he also received post-graduate training in Internal Medicine, and Nephrology from Uniklinikum Muenster, Germany.
Dr. Malla was the recipient of the Colombo Plan Merit scholarship to undergo study in Medicine at Calicut Medical College and he also received a scholarship from DAAD (German Academic Cultural Exchange) to undergo training in Germany in Internal Medicine

Dr Malla has also been in private practice since the completion of his fellowship and is currently working in Paducah, Kentucky and Marion, Illinois.

Dr. Malla is board eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is a member of numerous professional societies and associations. He is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, Kentucky Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and Illinois Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. Dr. Malla has also co-authored articles in scientific journals.
