Ambulatory Surgery Center To Expand

The Ambulatory Surgery Center of Paducah will add three operating rooms, while the associated Pain Management Center will move to a new medical facility by the end of this year. A 30,000-squarefoot, two-story building will be constructed to house the primary offices for the Pain Management Center at the corner of Lakeview and Plantation drives in Lone Oak.

The Ambulatory Surgery Center will move into the pain center’s former offices at 2831 Lone Oak Road once construction is completed. Work on the building beginsMonday; expansion of the surgery center will start in August.

“Due to increasing demand for cost effective outpatient surgical services with changing dynamics in health care, the Ambulatory Surgery Center is expanding to provide additional services other than interventional pain management ...and ophthalmology,” said Dr. Laxmaiah Manchikanti, medical director of the Ambulatory Surgery Center and the Pain Management Center.
